Discussion : Is a VPS the solution to my issue?

I have several websites that don't get a lot of traffic generally. But I run some educational games on the site, and some of them are date-oriented (Halloween, Pearl Harbor Day, Veteran's Day, Cinco de Mayo, etc). On those days the site gets slammed and everything ends up shutting down. I've set up Cloudflare to help with the surges, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. https://xender.vip/ https://testmyspeed.onl/
KLOI'm thinking that it's time to move it to a VPS. While I'm comfortable with setting up hosting, domains, etc. I haven't used a VPS before. So I would likely want a managed VPS. My sites are all wordpress sites. Am I correct in thinking that a VPS is the route I need to go to fix the issue? https://19216811.cam/
