The All the Mods family continues to grow with All the Mods 10: Aeronautics, a new variation of ATM10 designed to offer a different experience from the usual modpacks in the series.
Described by the ATMTeam as a sort of “ATM10.5”, All the Mods 10: Aeronautics is based on Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge. As its name suggests, the pack integrates Aeronautics, but the developers specifically wanted to avoid making the entire experience dependent on this mechanic. It is still possible to enjoy the modpack without focusing on Aeronautics and experience a complete All the Mods adventure.
The modpack is now available on OMGSERV and can be installed directly on a server to start a new multiplayer adventure.
All the Mods, a series that started as a private modpack
Before becoming one of Minecraft's major modpack series, All the Mods was simply a private pack created for a few friends. Its creator explains on the original All the Mods page that other players gradually became interested in playing it, turning this private project into a public series.
The philosophy of the series was already present in this first version: bring together the fundamentals players expect from a large modpack while also including newer or lesser-known mods.
And despite its name, All the Mods has never aimed to literally include every mod available. The team itself humorously points this out across the different pages of the series.
A formula that evolved through each version
Over the years, this philosophy has remained the same: provide a large amount of content while maintaining a balance between new mods, stability and long-term progression.
All the Mods 6, for example, ran on Minecraft 1.16.5 with Forge and already featured the ATM Star, which became one of the iconic objectives of the series.
With All the Mods 7, the ATMTeam reaffirmed its goal of adding many new mods while focusing on greater stability. This philosophy remains present several generations later.
The series then continued to expand its endgame. All the Mods 9 featured more than 400 mods, numerous quests and extensive endgame content built around objectives including the ATM Star and GregStar.
All the Mods 10, one of the major recent releases
With All the Mods 10, the series moved to Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge. The modpack now features around 500 mods, numerous quests and a complete endgame. Its CurseForge page has surpassed 21 million downloads, illustrating how important this generation of All the Mods has become.
This is the foundation for All the Mods 10: Aeronautics, but it is not simply ATM10 with Aeronautics added on top.
All the Mods 10: Aeronautics aims for a cohesive experience
The ATMTeam explains that the pack was designed so the integration of Aeronautics would not feel like something artificially added to an existing modpack.
The developers also understand that this type of gameplay will not necessarily appeal to everyone. It is therefore possible to play the pack without focusing on Aeronautics.
Even in that case, ATM10 Aeronautics offers its own additions with custom items, pipes, balance changes and power system overhauls, designed to create a more unified experience across the different mods.
This approach is important: Aeronautics is a major part of the pack's identity, but it is not a requirement that dictates the entire progression.
Neo Vitae and Excessive Utilities join All the Mods
This new variation also introduces mods that had never previously appeared in an All the Mods pack.
Neo Vitae and Excessive Utilities make their debut in the series. The ATMTeam presents them respectively as continuations of two past favorites: Blood Magic and Extra Utilities, with Excessive Utilities combining elements from Extra Utilities 1 and 2.
Some mods have also been removed in return. ATM10 Aeronautics is therefore not simply a variation with more content: its mod selection and balancing have been adapted to the experience the developers want to provide.
World generation redesigned for travelling
World generation has also been overhauled.
This choice is directly connected to Aeronautics: since the experience involves a lot of travelling, the team reconsidered its world generation mods to find a better balance between content and performance.
All the Mods 10: Aeronautics therefore uses the 6.0 branch of Regions Unexplored for its world generation.
Exploration becomes an important part of the pack and naturally complements the possibilities offered by Aeronautics.
A modpack designed for multiplayer
Like the other major All the Mods packs, ATM10 Aeronautics is particularly well suited to multiplayer.
Players can follow different paths, divide technical specializations between themselves and explore the world together. Those who want to experiment with Aeronautics can do so while other players continue progressing through the pack's other systems.
CurseForge officially categorizes the project as Multiplayer, Exploration, Quests and Extra Large.
